When a breech baby is diagnosed in pregnancy, it is assumed that a Caesarean will be the birth outcome. This film traces the efforts of one woman to negotiate and alternative path so she can give birth to her baby vaginally, all within the public hospital system. Conversations with caregivers, comments from a number of doctors and midwives and the mother herself are included. The vaginal birth of the baby is also shown.
