Birth Ball

In pregnancy, use the ball to:

• Assist good postural alignment
• Provide deep support to the perineal region, which can be very soothing
• Easier to get off than a normal chair

During labour, the ball is useful for:

• Encouraging optimal fetal poisitoning, through the natural forward tilting of the pelvis
• Reducing muscle fatigue and tension
• Pelvis tilting and rocking movement to facilitate rotation and descent of the baby
• Support in the bath, or anywhere the woman chooses to be --- it is very portable
