A self assessment tool for midwives

This inventory is a self-assessment tool to guide individual midwives in identifying their professional development needs. It takes a broad look at the span of midwifery skills, knowledge and experience that are required for a midwife to provide continuity of care to women in both community and hospital settings, including philosophical and psychosocial considerations. It has been developed in Australia for use by midwives intending to work autonomously in caseload, community, or birth centre models of care.
